What Is The Best Gimbal For The Sony A6000?

Note – The Zhiyun Weebill S has now been released onto the market and in our opinion is the best gimbal stabilizer currently available for the a6000. If you are on a tight budget then the slightly older Weebill Lab could also be a great addition to your camera accessories.

We have a whole bunch of content covering the A6000 now due to it being one of the most popular cameras on the market right now. Our content for the A6000 covers almost every accessory that you could ever think of but one product that we have noticed people reaching out about that we are yet to take a look at is what the best gimbal for the Sony a6000 is.

Due to this, we have decided to make it the main topic of today’s article and thankfully, the two main contenders for the title have recently been released onto the market meaning that they should remain the dominant two choices for a few years yet. Now, with there being so many gimbal stabilizers on the market these days, there are a ton of suitable Sony a6000 gimbals on the market that you can choose from.

That said though, the two newest additions to the market definatley stand a head and shoulders above the rest. The Zhiyun Crane Plus and the DJI Ronin SC are two of the best mirrorless camera gimbals to ever be made. Their performance is second to none, their build quality is excellent, their control systems are very easy to pick up, and both Zhiyun and DJI have built up excellent reputations within the gimbal community over the years.

Both of the gimbals are able to support your a6000 camera body even with some of the heaviest accessories available at the time of writing mounted on it. Additionally, the level of performance that each gimbal provides your a6000 is very similar to each other so we have to look at other factors to work out which one of the gimbals is better.

In our opinion, the Zhiyun Crane Plus takes the title from the DJI Ronin SC just because it is a cheaper gimbal while also having more battery life and being able to support a higher load capacity. We see no reason to splash out additional money that could be put towards other camera accessories to get the DJI Ronin SC over the Crane Plus.

Although the Crane Plus has only been on the market for a few weeks at the time of writing, it has managed to quickly earn itself an excellent reputation with many other a6000 owners using it as their main gimbal of choice.
