2 Of The Best Stabilizers For Sony A6300 Cameras!

For today’s article, we have chosen to take a look at what we feel is the best stabilizer for Sony a6300 cameras currently available on the market at the time of writing. We have seen a number of people reaching out on advice on gimbal stabilizers recently due to the number of low-quality products flooding the market that are essentially a total waste of time.

Thankfully, our short list of gimbals offers two excellent quality products that will do a great job for both you and your a6300. Not only are they both established in the community with excellent reputations but they also have a number of other a6300 owners using them as their go-to gimbal. Additionally, we will also be sharing some test footage of each of the gimbals mounted with an a6300.

Not before we get into the article, we would like to point out that although the names are very similar, they are actually different products! The first gimbal that we will be featuring is our premium option and is from the second generation of the line. The second gimbal that we will be featuring is our more budget-friendly option and is essentially the second version of the initial product with minor upgrades rather than being a totally overhauled product with more modern technology in it.

The Zhiyun Crane 2

As you may have guessed, we feel that the best stabilizer for Sony a6300 cameras currently available on the market right now is definitely the Zhiyun Crane 2 (Click here to check for product prices and availability). It offers a ton of functionality while offering some of the best performance out there often beating that of higher price point products while being a simple, easy to use 3-axis handheld gimbal. This has resulted in a number of independent videographers leaving their own third-party review of the gimbals performance (click here to read them) that you may want to read for some independent opinions.

The Zhiyun Crane 2 is easily able to support the weight of your Sony a6300 as well as the vast majority, if not all of the popular lenses on the market right now with plenty of its payload weight left to spare. Additionally, the handle of the gimbal stabilizer is very comfortable allowing you to easily hold it with your camera rig mounted for long periods of time without feeling any discomfort.

You can watch the shirt video below that offers some test footage of a Sony a6300 mounted on a Zhiyun Crane 2. We feel it does a great job of showcasing the stabilizers potential and what it can offer your a6300.

As we mentioned earlier in the article, the Zhiyun Crane 2 is actually the second generation of the Zhiyun Crane and comes with some totally overhauled features. For example, the battery life of this handheld stabilizer is excellent and can offer between four and six hours of battery life. We would like to point out that the weight of your camera rig will can have a large effect on how much power the Gimbal requires to stabilize and have a direct effect on battery life.

Additionally, the initial setup of the Zhiyun Crane 2 is much easier than the original Zhiyun Crane or the Zhiyun Crane v2. You literally mount your camera rig and go through the easy to follow balancing set up and can have your rig set and ready to go in less than thirty seconds.

If you own a Sony a6300 and are looking to pick up a gimbal that will last you for many years to come while offering excellent performance and functionality then we would highly recommend the Zhiyun Crane 2. Although some people may consider it to be out of their budget, it will make an excellent addition to your camera accessories but we also have a cheaper gimbal for your Sony a6300 featured below that can offer you less functionality but also a lower price tag.

The Zhiyun Crane V2

In our opinion, the best budget stabilizer for Sony a6300 cameras on the market is the baby brother of the Zhiyun Crane 2 covered above, the Zhiyun Crane v2 (Click here to check for product prices and availability). Notice the names side by side and the only difference being the “v” before the two as we mentioned earlier…

Anyway, the Zhiyun Crane v2 is the second version of the initial Zhiyun Crane gimbal and offers a number of improvements over the original gimbal that improves its performance. Due to the technology in the Zhiyun Crane v2 being older than that of the Zhiyun Crane 2 it comes with a lower price tag but also has less functionality, less battery life, and a few niggly little things that can get slightly annoying.

On the flipside though, it is still a solid 3-axis handheld gimbal that has proven very popular and will easily mount and take the weight of your Sony a6300 and your lens of choice. You can watch the short video below showing some test footage recorded by a Sony a6300 mounted on a Zhiyun Crane v2 to show the kind of thing that you can expect if you choose to pick this up.

Although it is a slightly older handheld stabilizer with an older design, we feel that Zhiyun managed to hit the nail on the head when it came to the design of the gimbals handle. Although not as comfortable as the Zhiyun Crane 2 covered first, the Zhiyun Crane v2 can still easily be held and used for long periods of time without issue with a Sony a6300 mounted on it with a decent lens too.

If you own a Sony a6300 are on a tighter budget but still want to add a decent gimbal to your collection of camera accessories then we definatley feel that the Zhiyun Crane v2 is the way to go and is well worth your consideration!
